A Hysterectomy is a surgical procedure performed by a Gynaecologist to remove the uterus. It is recommended for various conditions, including heavy periods unresponsive to other treatments, fibroids, uterus prolapse, endometriosis, and cancer. The procedure can be conducted using one of three methods: vaginal hysterectomy, open abdominal hysterectomy, or keyhole abdominal hysterectomy. Your Gynaecologist will help determine the most suitable method based on your specific needs.
