Xenical

Introduction to Xenical

Are you looking for a non-invasive way to help you along your weight loss journey or simply looking to lose a few pounds? Then orally administered Xenical may be the best weight loss option to help you along your way!

What is Xenical?

The main purpose of Xenical is to increase your chances of losing weight by reducing a quarter of the fat absorbed after you eat. Working in conjunction with a mildly hypocaloric diet (a supervised diet plan that involves eating around 800 calories a day or fewer), Xenical requires a prescription for purchase and is recommended to people with a BMI above 30 and as part of a weight loss programme from either a dietician or medical expert – due to it’s greater strength in comparison to likewise weight-loss medications.

How do I get started?

To get started, simply contact one of our specialists through our online enquiry form or call our weight loss support team on 0121 445 7549, where a patient advisor will contact you to book an appointment to attend a consultation at your local clinic.

During your Xenical consultation, one of our weight loss practitioners will take you through the details of the medication – outlining how Xenical works, what to expect from the medication and any unlikely side effects that may be involved. Your practitioner will also assess your suitability for, where the medication will be discussed and alternative weight loss interventions may be recommended if we feel it is not suited for you. Once you have chosen a suitable package, your practitioner will supply the medication whilst answering any questions you have.

How do I take Xenical and what results can I expect?

Xenical is taken in tablet form, three times a day over a 12-week period – during which patients typically lose up to 5% of their body weight. The recommended dose is one 120mg capsule taken with water immediately before, during or up to one hour after each main meal. Undigested dietary fat is then eliminated during bowel movements approximately 24 to 48 hours after administration. If the meal is missed or contains no fat to be absorbed, then the dose should be omitted.

Each box of Xenical contains 84 capsules; therefore, each box will equate to one month’s treatment if 3 capsules are taken a day. Our nurses are able to prescribe up to 3 months’ worth of the medication, before requiring details of your weight loss progress.

The speed of Xenical’s effectiveness is dependent upon your ability to uphold a healthy lifestyle – including exercise, calorie intake and overall food health quality.

Am I suitable for Xenical?

Xenical is recommended to people with a BMI above 30 as part of a weight loss programme from either your dietician or a medical expert. This product is currently not recommended for children or teenagers under 18 years or adults over 74 years.
