5 things to bring to your cosmetic surgery consultation

SHARE STORY

Wherever you visit us for a consultation, you’ll meet a patient advisor, who’ll be with you throughout your journey.

At this stage they’ll talk you through the cosmetic surgery process, from consultation to surgery and aftercare. Following your consultation with the surgeon, your personal advisor will also be able to give you a quotation of costs, so you know exactly what to expect.

Here is our checklist of the 5 most important things to bring with you to your consultation:

1. A photo ID such as a driving license or passport

All of our cosmetic surgery procedures have a minimum age requirement of 18 + so it is important that we can be sure that you meet this criterion first.

2. Any medication you take

The consultation starts with a medical questionnaire before meeting with a cosmetic surgeon. All cosmetic surgery procedure come with their own set of risks, so we will need to be sure that you are a suitable candidate for the procedure that you are interested in.

3. A notebook full of questions

Have a think about what questions you would like to ask your surgeon in the consultation and jot them down in a notebook, bring this along so can you be sure that all of your questions have been answered!

We understand cosmetic surgery is a big decision that requires real thought – our consultations allow you to find out more information and ask questions so you can make a completely informed decision. All of our consultations are no obligation, so you can take your own time to decide whether or not you’d like to move forward.

4. A supportive family member or close friend

Here at The Hospital Group, we’ll do everything we can to put your mind at ease and support you the best we can.

Bring your mum, auntie or best friend – don’t forget you are welcome to take someone along to your consultation for support! Our patient advisors are also happy to put you in touch with past patients who can tell you first hand of their experience and what you can expect.

5. Confidence is everything

Making the decision to have any form of cosmetic surgery can seem daunting at first especially if this is something that you have been thinking about for a long time. Be confident and feel excited that you are taking positive action to address something that you may be unhappy about.

Remember that all our consultations are free and come with no obligation to proceed any further so there is absolutely no pressure. A consultation with us is simply an opportunity to find out more from our expert team and ask as many questions as you like.

Our advice is to take your time to really think about whether cosmetic surgery is the right for you – and if you do decide to proceed, make sure you are confident in your decision.
