Can it be removed ?
The gastric band is designed to stay with you for life to assist you in getting to your target weight and staying at that weight. It can however be removed if you wanted to reverse the procedure.
Can I get pregnant while I have a band fitted ?
Yes the band will not affect you getting pregnant in fact weight loss can increase fertility, if you do become pregnant you will need to have t he fluid removed within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy so that you are not restricting your food intake whilst pregnant
