What surgical procedure is this garment suitable for?
Liposculpture and some Abdominoplasty patients all need to wear a girdle.
What does this garment do?
All liposculpture patients need compression to reduce swelling and bruising – this
girdle provides patients with the compression required for post-operative recovery
to achieve optimum end results. The girdle encourages the shaping of the new profile
to a slimmer contour.
How long do I wear it for?
Patients need to wear girdle for 6 weeks, occasionally your cosmetic surgeon may
request you keep it on for longer. After 7 days you can take girdle off and shower,
but the girdle still needs to be worn. The Hospital Group will be discharging you
in one of these post surgery, however due to the length of time the garment needs
to be worn patients often feel that is better to replace the garment.
