Before

Sally Price decided that weight loss surgery was the right thing to do...and she has never looked back.

"Every day I woke up, looked at myself in the mirror, and then looked away in disgust. I did this for almost 10 years, until I decided that was it....it was time to do something about it. However I first had to live like a hermit in order to pay for the procedures I needed so I could start living my life.”

For most of her life, Sally had hated the way she looked. Being a dress size of 24 prevented her from wearing exotic dresses, glamorous gowns and designer shoes, all things that many women take for granted.

With a family history of diabetes, her size not only affected her self-esteem and image but also caused a number of health including high blood pressure and shortness of breath, all of which could prove extremely dangerous if not monitored.

After years of trying various diets and fitness regimes, all of which failed, Sally decided to take more drastic action and looking into undergoing surgery. One problem arose though when she did her research, Sally didn’t have the funds to pay for the procedure.

The only way to pay for the surgery was to save like mad, until she had enough. Three years followed where Sally scrimped and saved, missed nights out with friends, their birthdays and their anniversaries. She missed holidays and those little treats that we all buy for ourselves. All of this so she could have a better life in the long run.

Sally decided to keep the weight loss surgery a secret from her family as she wanted to deal with it herself, before having the pressure of telling others. After Sally had lost the weight she felt like a new person and it gave her a dramatic confidence boost. She could finally fit into a "little black dress" and feel good about what she saw in the mirror!
