Looking for Obesity surgery in Britain
Two years ago I was morbidly obese. I felt ugly, unattractive and the weight was
starting to interfere with my life. At 26st 11lbs my weight was becoming a real
health problem and of course my family worried about me. My eldest son had been
searching on the internet for about a year looking for weight loss surgery in Britain.
The Hospital Group came up as the leading provider in the UK, and that gave me the
confidence to contact them.
I needed and wanted the surgery
I called the number and was amazed by how helpful the Patient Care Co-ordinator
was. She had had weight loss surgery herself and understood how I felt. Within a
week I’d had my medical consultation and booked surgery – the final motivation was
getting stuck in the turn styles at Wimbledon dog track – that humiliation was it!
– I needed and wanted the surgery NOW!
I've never looked back
I had my adjustable gastric band inserted on the 13th April 2004 and my first band
fill 3 months later when I was used to my new diet – I’ve never looked back – I
feel like a new person.
Now, just 2 years later I’ve lost 17 stone and I’m a size 10! I am a normal human
being again and treated as such. My kids, Dave 20, Dan 19, Paul 17, Rebecca 14 and
my baby Luke 11 are all over the moon – they have the mum I always should have been.
My parents are so proud they’ve got the daughter back who’s been missing for 35
years, and my husband feels he has a new wife - a confident sexy person who can do anything.
