Career Synopsis:
- Qualified as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 1972.
- Moved to the Midlands in 1984 and worked at the Birmingham Accident Hospital as a Consultant Plastic, Burns and Trauma Surgeon and worked in the NHS until 1993. Whilst working at this hospital he developed Europe's first skin culture laboratory for burns.
- In 1988 he was the co-founder of the "Bright Eyes" charity where he has performed over 350 reconstruction procedures on children who had been victims of warfare.
- He has since been working in private practice cosmetic surgery and has performed thousands of procedures to date.
- He has appeared on BBC programmes such as "The Today Programme" and "Your Life in Their Hands" as well as on other televisional channels and in newspaper articles.
- As well as operating he also finds time to teach nurses and trainee surgeons and therefore enjoys to pass his skills and knowledge onto the next generation of medical professionals.
- In January 2010 he joined The Hospital Group and is now operating out of Dolan Park Hospital in the Midlands
