As a teenager, Lara had problems with anorexia before compulsive eating left her the heaviest she'd ever been.

Lara was almost 15 stones and had three children. I knew I wanted to do something about it, she said. My old worries kept creeping in and I wanted a solution. I tried every diet going, and also had a personal trainer, but nothing worked.

Once my four-year-old daughter said, "You see that lady in the pretty dress Mummy? You couldn't wear that because you're too fat!

Using that incident as inspiration, Lara contacted The Hospital Group in August 2006 and had a gastric bypass to significantly reduce her weight. It was a no-brainer - a guaranteed way to lose weight and keep it off.

Lara followed this procedure by having breast enlargement and uplifting surgery in February 2007 and insists she would definitely consider more surgery in the future.

I can live my life to the full again after years of hiding away. I now love my body, feel good about what I eat and don't worry about what I eat and what I weigh.
