    I've heard DHT can cause hair loss, what does this stand for?

    DHT is di-hydroxytestosterone which is a substance in the body that slows down or stops hair growth. A lot of our hair transplant patients suffer with DHT.

    Do you offer drug therapy methods for hair loss as well as hair transplantation?

    Yes we do offer drug therapy as well as hair transplant procedures. The drugs we offer are Propecia and Dutasteride.

    Yes we do offer review appointments and we are happy to see patients post-procedure if they have any questions or queries. Just call our main line to arrange a review appointment with one of our hair experts.

    Can you still have a hair transplant if my natural hairline appears to be receeding?

    Hair transplantation is an option if you want to tweak your natural hair line to fill in the recessions and also if you want lower the hair line slightly, but for more definitive answer a consultation with one of our hair specialists would be highly recommended.

    How long does it take to perform a hair transplant?

    A hair transplant procedure, on average,will take approximately 3-4 hours depending on the number of grafts required.

    No hair transplants are a day case procedure and only require a local anaesthetic.

    We offer follicular hair transplantation to both men and women.  This procedure uses your own natural hair for a natural result.  You can discuss your personal requirements in confidence with one of our friendly Patient Care Coordinators.  The consultation is free, so it's a great opportunity to find out whether this is the right procedure for you.

    What does MPB stand for?

    MPB stands for "male pattern baldness". This is a condition which a lot of our hair restoration patients suffer from. When the fitrst stages of male pattern baldness become visible, patients then look into having a hair transplant.

    I'm starting to go bald at the back of my head but don't feel ready for a hair transplant. Do you offer anything other treatment?

    Yes we do, we offer the hair drug Propecia which is prescribed for male pattern baldness. You can buy Propecia direct from The Hospital Group, call the mainline for detail. Or we sell online cover-up which is a spray that hides unwanted bald patches. We sell this in a variety of colours to match your own hair shade.

    Do you only carry out hair transplants in Worcestershire?

    We only carry out the procedures at the private hospital Dolan Park, although consultations can be performed at any of our UK clinics. We offer complimentary transport from local railway stations and Birmingham airport if required.

    Where will my hair transplant take place?

    All of our hair restorartion treatments take place at our Worcestershire based private hospital, Dolan Park. We have three hair transplant surgeons who carry out procedures every week. You will have a thorough discussion with the surgeon on the day of your procedure and he will answer any questions or concerns you may have.     Will I have to stay in hospital overnight if I have a hair transplant?

    No you do not have to stay overnight if you are having hair transplantation. This is a day case procedure, if you come in in the morning, you will be going home that afternoon.

    How long does a hair transplant last - will it start to fall out again?

    A hair transplant procedure redistributes the donor hair that is genetically programmed to grow for your lifetime.  It uses your own hairs so that it looks and feels totally natural.
