Face Lift Surgery
Face Lifts, also known as Rhytidoplasty
Facial surgery can dramatically reduce wrinkles and help to rejuvenate your appearance. You may be considering a facelift due to ageing wrinkles, jowls or a general saggy appearance to the skin on the face and neck. A facelift can help with these. After surgery, the face is smoother and more youthful looking.
FaceLift Options
There are a wide variety of options. We offer either a "mini facelift" or a "full facelift" depending on your requirements. Facial surgery can be combined with blepharoplasty to tackle eye bags or lids, a brow lift or neck lift for a tailor-made result. Your surgeon can advise on what approach is right for you.
FACE LIFT SURGERY INFORMATION

Step by Step - What a Face Lift Involves

STEP 1
Incisions usually begin above the hairline at the temples, follow the natural line in front of the ear, curve behind the earlobe into the crease behind the ear and into or along the lower scalp.

STEP 2
The arrow shows how the area is moved upwards. Facial, neck tissue and muscle may be separated, fat may be trimmed or suctioned and underlying muscle may be tightened.

STEP 3
After deep tissues are tightened, the excess skin is pulled up and back, trimmed and sutured into position. Most of the scars will be hidden within your hair and in the normal creases of your skin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who is the most suitable face lift patient?
The best facelift patient has jowls, loose neck skin and a general saggy appearance to the skin on the face and neck. If the patient also has lots of wrinkles, non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment can be combined with a facelift for an improved overall result.

In this image, the patient's neck is lifted and the cheekbones are more defined as a result of a face lift.
Q: Could I have eye rejuvenation at the same time as a facelift?
Yes, if that's what you need, the best facelift results are achieved when these two procedures are combined resulting in an overall improvement. Your surgeon will advise on the best course of treatment for your individual requirements. As well as the face lift, we offer eyelid surgery, eye bag removal or brow lift.
Q: Will there be scarring after facial rejuvenation?
In the case of eye rejuvenation an incision is made close to the natural crease of the eyelid. During a facelift incisions are made in the natural crease lines. In both procedures post operative scarring will fade over time and become virtually undetectable.

Before After
Q: Will the wrinkles return?
During your medical consultation your surgeon will point out that the skin will continue to age. It is important that you understand that the ageing process will not stop after a facelift. However, Non-sugical treatments may be used in addition to enhance and/or prolong the benefits of a face lift. These are offered in all 22 clinics around the country.
