Titanium Dental Implants
Dental implants are the best option for filling unsightly gaps and replacing missing teeth as part of your Individual Cosmetic Dentistry Treatment Plan. By using Titanium Dental Implants, Crowns, Bridges or Dentures can now be permanently secured to a dental implant which eliminates the need for removable dentures.
The beauty of a titanium dental implant is that the bone can grow directly around it to create a new tooth root, making a strong foundation for porcelain crowns that look, feel and function like a natural tooth.
Benefits of dental implants include:
- Dramatic results – filling gaps produces an attractive smile-line
- Eliminates the need for removable dentures.
- Looks, feels and functions as normal teeth – strong enough for eating anything, brush and cared for as normal teeth
- Local anaesthetic used for a painless procedure
- Takes around 30 minutes to fit the titanium implant
- Dentures can be fitted to the implant on the same day.
- Titanium dental implants can be used to support single replacement teeth (using a porcelain crown) or multiple teeth (using a bridge)
Titanium Dental Implants
The dental implant is effective, successful, and very economical when compared to regular implants to stabilise dentures. The results can be dramatic – filling in an unsightly gap is actually the most effective way of improving your smile.
The images below show unsightly gaps in the lower teeth before the cosmetic dentistry treatment. Dental implants and bridges were used as part of the treatment plan to produce a dramatically improved smile.
The magic of a titanium dental implant is that when it is inserted into the bone, in over 98% of cases, the bone grows directly around the implant to create a new tooth root. Crowns, bridges, or dentures can then be permanently secured to the dental implant to eliminate the need for removable dentures.
Straumann Dental Implants
Our UK dental facilities all use Straumann dental implants. These are renowned for being the world’s best titanium implant and respected by cosmetic dentists the world over.
Zygomatic dental implants are the latest implant technology, suitable where there is insufficient bone for standard titanium implants. If you have been told that you are unable to have dental implants due to insufficient bone material, then a zygomatic implant can enable you to have implant fixed dentures, as they go deeper into the bone for a firm fixing.
Fixed teeth can be made within 3 days after the surgery. It will take 4 months before the implants really get connected to the bone (osseointegration). After that a final bridge of acrylic or porcelain can be made. The results are so good that zygomatic implants are supplied with a 10 year guarantee.
This image shows an x-ray of dental implants – standard dental implants are used in teh upper and lower jaw, but in addition, 2 zygomatic implants have been used and this go much further into the upper jaw to achieve results that would not be possible using standard implants alone.
