Mr Franz Decker

Mr Paul Levick

Career Synopsis:

•  Qualified as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 1972.

• Moved to the Midlands in 1984 and worked at the Birmingham Accident Hospital as a Consultant Plastic, Burns and Trauma Surgeon and worked in the NHS until 1993. Whilst working at this hospital he developed Europe's first skin culture laboratory for burns.

• In 1988 he was the co-founder of the "Bright Eyes" charity where he has performed over 350 reconstruction procedures on children who had been victims of warfare.

• He has since been working in private practice cosmetic surgery and has performed thousands of procedures to date.  

• He has appeared on BBC programmes such as "The Today Programme" and "Your Life in Their Hands" as well as on other televisional channels and in newspaper articles.

• As well as operating he also finds time to teach nurses and trainee surgeons and therefore enjoys to pass his skills and knowledge onto the next generation of medical professionals.

• In January 2010 he joined The Hospital Group and has now  began operating out of Dolan Park Hospital.

Mrs Ilaria Maggi

• Before qualifying in plastic and reconstructive surgery Ms Maggi worked in Gynaecology and Obstetrician departments as well as general practice

• In 2004-2008 she assisted Mr. Mario Russo in theatre with plastic and reconstructive procedures in Italy

• From 2006 – 2008 she worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Italy

• In 2008 she moved to the UK and carried out cosmetic surgery with a large UK private sector company

•  Moved to The Hospital Group in 2009
