She said: “I’m not for it. I’m not against it. I have plenty of friends who do stuff and if it makes you feel good, great.

“I don’t think I need plastic surgery at this point: Can we just go day-by-day on that one?”

In an interview with Easy Living about her experience of having children in her 40s, the 49-year-old redhead admitted she may become more tempted to have surgery after she turns 50 later this year.

The statistics from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) revealed that there was a 6 per cent increase in 2011 from the previous year.

The survey of 400 men, carried out by the University of the West of England’s Centre for Appearance Research in Bristol, revealed that the biggest worries for men were beer bellies, a lack of muscle and male breasts.

Other statistics to come out of the research showed that 59 per cent of men felt personally affected by ‘body talk’, and nearly one in five men said they felt fat every single day.
