Hair loss amongst men is becoming a considerable problem, causing many to resort to drastic measures in an attempt to cover up any unwanted bald patches. A survey revealed that almost 80 per cent of men admit to dying their hair in a bid to make it look thicker and healthier, whilst 21 per cent of men resorted to more unusual methods including covering their manes in shoe polish or borrowing their wife’s make-up to hide any bald areas. For some men hair loss can start as early as their teenage years but for most it develops in their late twenties or thirties with hair most commonly disappearing from the temples and crown of the head.
