Invisible braces are the latest craze among men wanting the perfect teeth.  While women have usually been perceived as leading the way in beauty trends, new research by The Hospital Group has shown that men are also seeking the perfect Hollywood Smile.

The group saw a massive increase in the number of men enquiring about invisible braces during the start of 2010 with a 700% increase in actual procedures performed in 2009 compared with the previous year. 

The number of women opting to straighten their smile in 2009 rose by 52% vs 2008.

Invisible braces are not the only treatment to enjoy a surge in interest – the number of men opting to have veneers to cover up damaged and stained teeth also rose by a massive 506% last year.

Teeth whitening procedures were also up during 2009 – with male whitening increasing by 150% and female by 100%.

Invisible braces have become the latest craze among men searching for the perfect pearly whites.  Forget the latest male moisturisers or shaving creams, when it comes to looking good, men are straightening their teeth instead.

Research by The Hospital Group has shown that men have joined women in searching for the perfect Hollywood smile.

The Group has seen a big increase in the number of men enquiring about invisible braces.  The number opting to cover up damaged and stained teeth with veneers also rose sharply, along with teeth whitening procedures.

Nearly half of bosses wouldn’t employ someone with bad breath or poor teeth a survey has found.

And they readily admitted they have previously dismissed candidates because of their appearance.

The survey found 15% of wrokders have consdered having cosmetic surgery to boost their job prospects and 3% have already gone under the knife.

Cosmetic dentistry was the most popular choice, followed by breast implants and a facelift.

The study by cosmetic surgery specialists The Hospital Group revealed that a fifth of workers believe their appearance has held them back in their career.

Liz Dutton had been afraid to show her teeth for years and couldn’t bear to smile very much.

She had a problem with her all her adult teeth coming through – and at the age of 16 she still had some of her baby teeth left and therefore had to have them removed.

This proved problematic later on in life and Liz became self conscious of her crooked smile.
