As pictures of Naomi Campbell are released showing hair loss, our hair surgeon Dr Peter Williams is invited to comment. Dr Williams said “it is very common in people who wear braids and tight buns as well as extensions.”
It is sobering news for those with hair extensions – Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham and Britney Spears are all said to have suffered the condition.

Being overweight can be bad news for a fulfilling sex life, especially if you’re a woman.
In a new study, European researchers found obese women had more trouble finding a sexual partner than their normal-weight counterparts, though the same wasn’t true for obese men, and were four times as likely to have an unplanned pregnancy. Fat men also reported a higher rate of erectile dysfunction.

Further to recent features in the national newspapers, we are republishing our policy with regard to PIP implants below. The MHRA have not yet published their guidelines for patient who have PIP implants although their statement says “At this time the MHRA does not have evidence of any additional health risks associated with PIP breast implants”. Therefore in the meantime, if you think you were a PIP implant patient and have any concerns about them, we are offering a consultation with a clinic nurse for initial discussion/assessment (this can be via telephone or in clinic).
