New research has revealed that people who are overweight are often stereotyped straight away as careless and idle. The participants observed a thin person watching TV whilst lying down and came to the conclusion that they were most likely relaxing, however, when presented with an overweight person in the same scenario, the panel automatically deemed the individual ‘lazy’.
