Alarming new figures reveal that eight out of 10 men and seven out of 10 women will be seriously overweight or obese by 2020.
The study, which is an update of the Government-commissioned Foresight report, shows that dangerous and harmful health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and strokes are only set to increase as the nation’s waistline grows.
The study suggests that the obesity crisis isn’t easing up for British adults and within 10 years a staggering 81 per cent of men aged between 20 and 65, will be either overweight or obese.
The news doesn’t get much better for women with 68 per cent expected to be either overweight or obese.
Those wanting to put an end to their obesity nightmare can come for a consultation with an expert bariatric surgeon at The Hospital Group.
