Star Employee Scoops Top Award

Taking the plunge has paid off for one worker- after she scooped a top award just three months after swapping careers.  Lisa Swaithe decided to ditch her career as an office manager and start work caring for patients at private healthcare clinic, The Hospital Group.  As patient care co-ordinator in Nottingham, Lisa has worked tirelessly to deliver information to patients around the clock.  And now, just three months into the job, Lisa has secured the accolade for outstanding service to patients.

The dedicated worker, 39, said she was overjoyed to receive the award which is only given to those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Lisa said: “I enjoyed my job working in an office, but there came a time when I just wanted to be doing a bit more.  It has been great getting to meet people face to face and help advise them on the surgery options available with The Hospital Group.  It is amazing seeing the difference that cosmetic surgery can make to your life. Many people have waited years to go ahead with treatments, so when they do, they really appreciate it.

“Even though I have only been with The Hospital Group for a few months, the best part has been seeing people go from nervous and shy before they have surgery, to having lots of confidence when they leave the clinic. It is great to be appreciated in a job and they couldn’t be more supportive at The Hospital Group.”

Lisa now has £250 worth of vouchers to enjoy and plans to spend the money on part payment for a holiday next year.

The chief executive of The Hospital Group, David Ross, said: “Lisa was a natural choice, because in just a few months she has made a huge difference to the lives of our patients.  “She has helped and supported them no matter what time of day it was and has really shown a commitment to working with The Hospital Group. Our overriding mission is to provide an excellent patient experience and it’s great to see it being delivered so clearly. It is also vital we show our appreciation to our staff, especially during this period of economic uncertainty, ensuring morale is kept high.”
