The Hospital Group Acquire Controlling Share In Spanish Clinic

Friday, August 28th, 2009

garden and poolThe UK’s leading cosmetic and weight loss surgery provider, The Hospital Group, has announced an exciting partnership with Mills Medical Group after acquiring a majority stake in the business.

The controlling stake in the Marbella-based Mills Medical positions The Hospital Group as a major player in overseas surgery, encouraging patients to recover in the sun and make their surgery part of their holiday abroad.

The partnership will allow consultants at one of The Hospital Group’s UK clinics to recommend an overseas partner that has the same values and high standards as the UK facility, to those clients who would prefer treatment abroad.

The Hospital Group will also be looking to grow Mills Medical’s domestic business as the company focuses on Spain’s growing demand for such procedures.

The Hospital Group Chief Executive David Ross said: “More and more people are opting for cosmetic surgery abroad as they see the benefits of recuperating in the sun. The opportunity to jet off and come back with a whole new look is ideal for those clients seeking a complete makeover package, but foreign surgical clinics are an unknown entity.

“Our new partnership with Mills Medical means our clients can be assured of, and trust in, the same high standards they would enjoy with The Hospital Group in the UK. Nowadays, people don’t have to choose between the holiday or the body of their dreams; they can have both.”

He added: “The high quality, rigorous standards for cosmetic and weight loss procedures in the UK is something that Spanish patients recognise. We will be looking to capitalise on our reputation and expertise to this emerging market.”

David Mills Director of Mills&Mills says” we are very excited to be working alongside The Hospital Group, Director David Ross and I have know each other a long time and we both have the same high Ideals when it comes to Patient care. We want to give people more choices and more affordable surgery; this merger will make that happen”.

Since The Hospital Group was established in 1992, it has grown from a small pharmaceutical company to one of the UK’s foremost cosmetic surgery providers. The Group is committed to providing the very highest standards and all procedures are performed by an expert medical team in state-of-the-art facilities that are second to none.

These same luxurious facilities and extensive range of procedures is available at Mills’ Marbella clinic and across their network of Spanish clinics, where the staff are all multi-lingual.

The acquisition of Mills is The Hospital Group’s second in the last year, since gaining complete control of Ireland’s leading cosmetic surgeons, Advanced Cosmetic Surgery (ACS) Ltd., in May 2008.

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Zoo Aug 09 AisleyneEveryone’s favourite Big Brother star, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, has revealed the results of her surgery at The Hospital Group to national lads’ mag, Zoo.

The glamour girl sought help from The Hospital Group to boost her breasts from a DD to a G cup and re-position the implants.

In the exclusive interview with the glossy mag, Aisleyne said: “My new boobs are incredible! They feel more real than before and they’ve given me extra cleavage.

“I love them! I’ve got proper big boobs now and this is the first unveiling of them – and my first proper shoot for Zoo.”

Aisleyne, who has recently turned 30, said about her surgery: “You hear of people booking in for surgery and not getting the look they wanted, and that was me before.

“I just wanted to get the shape sorted out. My boobs were sitting quite far apart so I wanted something which gave me much more of a cleavage. I definitely don’t want them massive like Jordan or super-pert like Victoria Beckham, just something natural which is going to look good in a dress.”

Aisleyne turned to the UK’s leading surgery provider to improve the shape and size of her DD-cups, which were increased to a G by the surgeon at the Bromsgrove-based exclusive clinic.

The Hospital Group, the UK’s leading provider of cosmetic surgery, perform a wide range of aesthetic procedures in 19 specialist clinics across the country and the main Dolan Park hospital in Bromsgrove is the largest surgery-dedicated unit in Europe.

David Ross, Chief Executive of The Hospital Group said: “Aisleyne looks fantastic following her surgery at The Hospital Group and we were more than happy to help her. And Aisleyne is just one of our very happy patients. At The Hospital Group, people – whether they are celebrities or not – can be assured of a dedicated, professional service, with guaranteed results and a limited waiting time.

“If you’re not happy with your body, be it your breasts or another feature, then The Hospital Group can help.”

Increased Risk Of Accidents For Obese People

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

A study by an insurance policy provider has shown that obesity is not only bad for your health, but also your safety.

The research by Samsung Life Insurance Lifecare Institute found obese people are 73 per cent more likely to have an accident, require an operation, or be admitted to hospital.

Analysis of insurance pay-outs and the subscriber’s Body Mass Index (BMI) found a relation between those of larger mass and frequent payments.  Obese people were found to suffer from more accidents such as falling over or tripping than the broker’s customers with smaller BMIs.

Bariatric surgery, also known as gastric and weight loss surgery, has many benefits, including reducing risk of accident.

The Hospital Group, the UK’s biggest provider of weightloss surgery, has seen a 73.9% increase in interest in weight loss surgery, with a staggering 12,848 people seeking surgery in 2008. In 2007, 7,385 people enquired into gastric procedures.

The surgery, including gastric bands, gastric bypasses and gastric balloons can be used alongside liposculpture – also known as liposuction – and adominoplasty – the common tummy tuck – to sculpt and perfect your body and give you a healthier lifestyle.

Such is the interest in The Hospital Group’s weight loss procedures, bookings have increased to levels above that of the NHS. While the NHS reported that it had performed 2,724 weight-loss operations in 2008, The Hospital Group performed a total of 3,015 gastric procedures in the same period.

Wales on Sunday: Lowri’s Facebook Nightmare has Happy Ending!

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

Lowri, from Caerphilly in Wales, sought rhinoplasty surgery from The Hospital Group after a bully taunted her profile on social networking site facebook.

The stunning brunette, 21, said: “I was so upset by the message. I could just imagine people talking about me and it really knocked my confidence.

“I’d always hated my nose. It was too big, a bit off-centre and had a big bump on it.”

Having saved up to pay for a boob job, Lowri instead decided to plump for a nose job following the cruel remarks online.

The operation in 2008 at The Hospital Group’s Dolan Park clinic in Bromsgrove has given Lowri a whole new outlook on life.

She said: “It was a few weeks after my surgery had healed that I bumped into the facebook bully on a night out. She apologised and said she didn’t think I would take it that far – but I’m glad she made those comments online.

“If she hadn’t written that message maybe I’d have never got it done and I’m so pleased I did.

“I’m much more confident now and happier in my own skin.”

Lowri, who has just graduated from her Law degree at Cardiff University, has been inundated with compliments since her surgery and has since made the final of a beauty contest.
