• Perineoplasty is a procedure to improve the appearance of the perineum area, between the vagina and the anus.
• The typical patient may have been left with poor shape after an episiotomy or tear during childbirth, which can affect confidence and libido.
• It normally occurs with pudendal body weakness, requiring strenthening of the pelvic floor muscles.
• This operation will improve the cosmetic appearance of the perineum as well as muscle tone in the pelvic floor.

• The pelvic floor is the group of muscles supporting the bladder, bowel, vagina and the womb.
