ODP Theatre Practitioner. Location: Dolan Park Hospital
Position: Full Time – salary between £26,000-£30,000
Dolan Park Hospital is luxurious and purpose built to ensure patient expectations and needs are met. As a qualified Theatre Practitioner you’ll have the full support of everyone around you, in a professional environment. You will work as part of multi-disciplinary team and assist the consultant surgeon & anaesthetist in which ever specialty required to provide holistic care for patients during cosmetic surgery.
You will also help ensure that the operating department is equipped appropriately and assist in the daily operating list and overall efficiency. You must also ensure adherence to the organisational policies and procedures and infection control protocols.ACCOUNTABILITIES
To assist the Theatre Clinical Lead in the day to day running of the theatre.
To occasionally deputise for the Theatre Clinic Lead in their absence.
To occasionally act as an effective shift co-ordinator where appropriate.
To promote the efficient and effective use of theatre resources.
Positively support Hospital policies, procedures, guidelines and initiatives.
To support the Theatre Clinical Lead in team building and the motivating
and coaching of nursing associates.
To maintain nursing teams direction and cohesiveness through effective
To ensure high standards are promoted and maintained within the nursing team.
To ensure communication is optimised by promoting discussion and by
attending theatre and hospital meetings.
To ensure communication with the consultants, anaesthetists and other
Customers is optimised.
To contribute to the performance review of Theatre Associates, ensuring that they develop in line with company policy.
To prepare for the operating list by laying out and checking all equipment required, and preparing the anaesthetic and operating rooms, making sure that all necessary equipment is available.
To work with, and assist the consultant in whichever speciality you are practicing, i.e. the anaesthetist or surgeon, in accordance with hospital policy.
Be involved with the maintenance of equipment by liaising with representatives or related specialist
To participate in on calls, weekend and evening duties as required by the department.
Be involved in the ordering of consumables as necessary.
Act as a positive role model.
Maintain a patient centred approach when planning care, involving patients,
carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team in care decisions.
Implementation and ongoing review of the multidisciplinary care pathways.
Maintain high standards of evidence-based care where possible.
Identify and discuss nursing and patient problems, rationale and research with

Contribute to monitoring activities and audit, give appropriate, timely feedback
To provide a multi-skilled approach to all areas within the hospital. Accepting that to ensure good level of staffing once competent that you maybe required to work within either the theatre or ward environment.
To supervise nursing associates in the delivery of patient care and in the
maintenance of accurate patient records. Ensuring that all records are signed
and dated, and then countersigned by you.
Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
Abide by legal requirements and statutory rules relating to practice.
To maintain privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
Take responsibility for personal and professional development.
Contribute to the continuing development of the unit.
Be constructive in comments and feedback to colleagues regarding personal
and professional issues.
Be aware of national and local initiatives and issues that may impact on
Ensuring through safe working conditions the health, safety and welfare of all
staff, colleagues, patients and visitors, and to comply at all times with health
and safety policies and procedures.
Carrying out any other duty that reasonably falls within the general nature and
level of responsibility of the post.

We are a cosmetic surgery company dealing with surgical and non surgical treatments and are looking for a nurse prescriber with experience in Botox and fillers to support our doctors in this area. Ideally you will be looking for this exciting one-off opportunity to not only be a part of running your own aesthetics business as you will be self employed but also the remuneration of £250-£350/day
