Overweight for years after giving up smoking
"I have been overweight for years after giving up smoking. I am a very sociable
person who enjoys eating and drinking with friends and this has made dieting and
losing weight more difficult."
Eating too much in the evening
"I was not eating in the day and then eating too much in the evening, this is what
caused my weight to increase even though I walked and swam regularly. I had tried
various diets in the past and also cut out alcohol at different times, but I still
put on weight."
I wanted to see my nieces grow up
"I wanted to be alive to see my nieces grow up so I had to lose the weight. I was
going to have a Gastric Band but I was too large and so had a Gastric Bypass instead.
I’ve gone down eight dress sizes from 30 to 14! I can now fit into chairs and not
get in everyone’s way."
"I would tell others in the same situation that I was – You don’t have to be overweight
anymore! It’s been an adventure, I have no regrets and would do it all again. Eating
correctly and losing weight is an ongoing process, I still learn more about it every day."
It's the simple improvements that I love the most
"It’s the simple improvements it has made in my life that I love the most, such
as sitting in a chair comfortably, crossing my legs, crossing my arms over my tummy
and being able to fit in the bath!"

After losing the weight I have lots more energy
and can now even run up the stairs! I originally found out about The Hospital Group

what they have done for me. My Hygienist is very happy with me too – my teeth are
now much cleaner as I no longer suffer from plaque due to eating much healthier."
